Water Bugs Compete in First Tournament of the Season
Your Muskego Water Bugs show water ski team competed well last Saturday at the Mercury Invitational Tournament. This tournament is held every year at Traxler park in Janesville on the Rock River, hosted by the Rock Aqua Jays. Out of 12 teams, the Water Bugs took 6th place. THis early tournament helps to prepare the team for the Wisconsin State/Regional tournament which is held every year (for the past 40+) in Wisconsin Rapids on Lake Wazicha.
Somewhere between the frantic setup (each team is given exactly 20 minutes to set up) and the fun very athletic feats are performed and pulled into a cohesive show that is very entertaining. This year's theme is Schrecked, and the characters ski thier way to helping Schreck and Fiiona celebrate their 10th anniversary by renewing their wedding vows. The story is rich with all the usual characters and a little drama too when Fiona is tricked into taking on human form and the cast has to quickly find the potion to change her back. It's all in an hour's skiing when you're a Water Bug!
Enjoy this video slideshow of highlights from their adventure and then come out to Idle Isle every Wednesday (between Memorial and Labor Day) to enjoy the free show. Show time is6:00 for the Junior Show and 6:30 for the big show - don't be late!
