Golfer Teed Off and Got Tasered by Police
Muskego man ignored wife's advice to 'shut up' instead of talking back to a Big Bend cop, and now faces charges, according to complaint.
A 43-year-old Muskego man is facing charges after he had to be stunned with a Taser while trying to walk home drunk carrying his golf clubs.
Thomas C. Olszewski was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one count of obstructing an officer. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On June 3, Big Bend police officers were called to Edgewood Golf Course on reports of someone damaging property who had since left on foot. An officer found Olszewski walking near Forest Home Avenue and Kunzendorf Court carrying his golf clubs, with his wife driving a car alongside of him.
The officer approached Olszewski, who then said he was walking because he was drunk and when confronted with what golf course employees said, he responded “(expletive) that.” His wife then told him to shut up or he would get in more trouble, then grabbed his clubs and put t hem in the car, the report stated.
However, Olszewski decided to not listen to his wife and instead told the officer he pays his salary and could beat him up, so he was just going to walk home. The officer warned him to calm down and obey orders, but Olszewski refused, so the officer stunned him with a Taser, according to the complaint.
Olszewski decided to cooperate after getting shocked and apologized for his actions. He will make his initial appearance in court Oct. 15.

I think the moral of the story is to always listen to your wife.

Potential of nine months in prison and $10000 in fines. Should have just drove home drunk...lighter sentence and fine structure. What a screwed up legal system we have.

Oops, you got me there...using the indicative past tense as opposed to the correct usage of the conditional perfect tense.
