Rep. Craig Receives Committee Appointments

David Craig was named as chair of the Committee on Financial Institutions, also received nod for vice chairmanship of Gov't Operations

Wisconsin Assembly Speaker-Elect Robin Vos announced on Tuesday that he appointed Rep. David Craig (R-Town of Vernon) as Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Financial Institutions.

"I am honored to serve our great state as the Chairman of the Committee on Financial Institutions and I look forward to working with my colleagues on the committee in advancing pro-economic growth policies that help Wisconsin businesses create jobs," said Craig in a statement from his office.  "We have an opportunity to enact sound policy that makes a clear statement to job creators that Wisconsin is open for business.  I eagerly anticipate beginning this important work on day one of the new legislative session."

Craig will replace Bill Kramer as chair of the committee, which oversees banks, credit unions and other financial institutions in the state.
