I believe the Supreme Court made the right decision today. There is much more work to be done in controlling health care costs, but the Affordable Care Act brings us closer to providing health care to all Americans at a cost we can afford.
Under the bill, nearly 60,000 Wisconsin seniors on Medicare have already saved almost $38 million in prescription drug costs, more than 43,000 of our state’s young adults have gained health insurance coverage, more than 400,000 women now have access to preventive cancer screenings and no one can be denied coverage for a preexisting condition.
As we know, health care costs are a drag on our economy and the Affordable Care Act tackles some of the most rapidly growing health care expenses.

When will the public find out the details of this great plan?
Who pays what?
What type of coverage is expected?
What happens to those that do not pay?
Does this cover only U.S. citizens?
Will we need I.D.?
What control do individuals have?
I know that they did not read it 4 years ago, but we need some answers soon.
I know better than to blindly trust our government, Herbie included.

mr Herb,
hi Herbie,
i am sure you would NOT support this health care bill if you still owned Kohls food stores.......
we look more like Russia everyday.....

@Carolyn... how many times have you been to Russia to see what it is like?
You are correct in some ways, as the TEAPublicans in Congress and various state governments continue to not invest in our infrastructure our rusted bridges, and pot holed streets, and weed-infested highway look very much like one would see in Moscow.
Greg
10:58 pm on Friday, June 29, 2012
The TEAPublicans in Congress voted to spend a whole lot of money on our infrastructure, roads and bridges, not bike paths. The Democrats were forced to accept GOP demands to streamline and speed up the federal review process of construction projects. I hear Moscow is pretty nice.

Thank you Senator Kohl, for your many years of service to our state, particularly in the area of education. Your hard work, sensible, unassuming air, and Wisconsin-focused attention are much appreciated by many and will be sadly missed. You are a proud example of what this state used to be, forward-thinking and progressive.

Bren, Herbie was a slick nobber for his own causes. Pandering to the prog ideals. sensible, unassuming air?....what a joke he has been. Your kool aide drinking is showing here. Progressive...maybe that is what your vision is. The recall has shown what the people want in this state. It is not the left agenda that you tout.

Chop Herbie up and feed him to the crows, vultures and 4 legged carrion feeders. That would be his contribution to their health care. They need to eat too. What an article coming from a rich, outgoing elitist that could care less about those that still struggle to make a living. If you can find praise for him, sing away. I cannot. Good riddance.

Sorry Greg if I offended you. No, I don't mean it in the literal sense. It is called artistic expression. There is still that freedom of speech thing that applies to the internet (and under scrutiny as well). Is Herbie your grandfather, uncle or some other relation that I am hitting a nerve on?

Herb Kohl. Nobodies Senator But Theirs. "Theirs" being the corporate banking establishment that both Democrats, and Republicans actually work for. Although Democrats do it behind the facade of being all caring, loving, and supposedly liberal. If that were true then we would have free Universal health care like other nations. Instead we're all forced to buy health insurance to make the corporations, and their millionaire stock holders mega money. Herb's above it all with his millions, and I'm sure he will make even more with his health industry investments.

How can anyone call forced participation in capitalism socialism? Then again how, can we call it capitalism? I'm surprised that republicans hate this bill so much when it basically forces all americans to contribute to the massive corpo-*cough*-PAC-*cough*-ations that keep them in office?

Sorry Senator, Scalia, Kennedy, Alito and Thomas made more sense than Roberts on this one. But that's OK, for even though Robert's made a big mistake, he did fire up the "Silent majority" once again to fight liberalism/ progressivism/ socialism.
Now go back to sleep sir!

I'm glad Herb isn't running again. It saves me time of writing him everytime he opens his mouth. And I can take him off my impeachment list.
IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!!! And because of Judge Roberts last minute behind closed door deal--IMPEACH HIM ALSO.
This isn't sour grapes, because I believe in our system, but this country can ill afford any more usurpative Judicial Law or Executive Orders! Hitler or Stalin would praise the way this country is being ruled. Sad days for our REPUBLIC!! I only hope that we can keep it, because there is absolutely no other country on earth that is capable of protecting Mans' Freedom. If they usurp our Costitution like they have been--WE'RE DONE!!!
