Opportunities to Meet the Creatures of Rehab from Acres of Hope and Aspirations

Ever seen a Blind pony try to navigate around?  Better yet, witness a blind pony get guidance from a seeing-eye pot bellied pig!  Ever participate in a real tortoise and hare race? Better yet, watch a hare cheat and ride a tortoise!  Ever see a pot bellied pig wear a tutu?  Better yet, watch a pot bellied pig named Twinkle Toes help an Iraq War veteran who was shot in the head and suffers from a brain injury with balance and endurance. Ever seen a colorful talking Blue and Gold parrot? Better yet, hear a talking Macaw tell you the best NFL football team and who will win this year's Superbowl when he says "Go Packers".  How about a miniature horse only 26 inches tall that can play ball or a poo-chi puppy who can jump tortoise to tortoise?

Witness such talent by the Creatures of Rehab at Acres of Hope and Aspirations. Sounds almost magical and things read about in children's books. But the talent described above are from some of the wonderful fur, feather, and reptile friends that are Creatures of Rehab at the rehab home/farm helps people and families affected by brain injury to recover, rehabilitate and find hope.  The Creatures of Rehab help with cognitive skills and vocational rehab and acceptance of disability and difference since some of the Creatures of Rehab themselves have disabilities. In addition, the Creatures of Rehab also visit many schools, girls and boy scout troops, 4-H clubs, churches, community events, etc. to bring awareness of the silent epidemic of brain injury.  A brain injury occurs every 19 seconds and changes, alters or takes a life.
