Hello all,
There's been a lot floated in the community and in the media about the future of Patch lately, so I wanted to take a moment to address that in this space.
I'll get right to the point. Myself and the other Milwaukee Patch editors will be laid off on Tuesday, and the future of the sites look pretty murky after that. I don't know what the company has planned, and I won't speculate here.
That being said, I just wanted to say how enjoyable it's been to be the Muskego Patch editor for the short time I've been able to do it. I've loved getting to know people and businesses, and getting to share their stories here.
But, more importantly, I need to give a huge shout-out to former editor Denise Konkol, for the community she built here over the past two-and-a-half years. She made this site into what it is, and I think provided such a valuable community resource for so long. Muskego was certainly better off for it, and I can tell you that Patch still misses her presence.
