UPDATE: Messy Weather Continues With Dense Fog

Warming temps have meant fog has settled over the area, with reduced visibilities persisting until later morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory, to be in effect for southern Wisconsin until 9am Monday.

Temperatures have been slowly rising since Sunday, creating widespread freezing fog in the process. As temps are well over freezing now, the issue is fog and rainfall over the snowpack, which can create flooding conditions in low lying areas. New rainfall amounts will add between a quarter and half of an inch on top of the recent snow we received.

Rain will eventually turn back to snow on Monday as temps again fall throughout the day, but accumulations by that time will only amount to a half inch.

Keep your low beam headlights on and proceed with caution.
