Moose Welcome Winter — and the Public — This Weekend

Winterfest features chili, live music and a little insight into the club that's normally members-only.

While the Muskego Moose Lodge is the home to a very active organization, it's not often its doors are open to the public.

However, this Saturday the Muskego Moose Family Center will host Winterfest.  Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. with a Chili-Cook Off contest. After sampling some of the entries, guests can enjoy music from "Remember When," which will play music from the 1960s and '70s from 7 to 11 p.m. Hot drink specials and raffles will also be offered throughout the evening.

The Muskego Moose Lodge has been a part of the community since 1966, with about 100 families joining the organization. They are part of the nonprofit sponsors of Muskego Fest and take part in events such as National Night Out. As it is a private organization, however, members can only join through sponsors, so the public event is an opportunity to tour the facilties as well as learn more about joining.
