Muskego Fest Readies For 26th Year

The four-day festival returns Thursday to Veterans Park.

The 26th annual Muskego Community Festival is set to kick off its four-day run Thursday at Veterans Memorial Park.

Billed as the largest free-admission festival in southeastern Wisconsin, Muskego Fest begins with a family night (no alcohol served) from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday. All food vendors will be open and Calkins Midway will offer a wristband special. The Muskego Teen Idol semifinals will be held on the family stage.

Opening ceremonies will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, which also features a fish fry, carnival rides and several bands.

Saturday will include a midway wristband special from noon to 5 p.m., more bands and the Muskego Teen Idol finals.

The final day of the festival Sunday starts with an 11 a.m. parade honoring the Muskego Moose Lodge. Due to Janesville Road construction, the parade will start at the Janesville Road entrance to Waukesha County Park, proceed east to Racine Avenue, then south to the festival grounds.

Several bands will keep the entertainment going until 6 p.m.

Check out the Muskego Fest website for much more on the festivities.
