Muskego Rugby Holds First Fundraiser, Alumni Tourney

in Muskego will be the site for rugby this Saturday, and whether you're a seasoned competitor or new to the game and interested to learn more, the Muskego Rugby Club Alumni are inviting residents out to enjoy the afternoon.

The first annual Muskego Rugby Alumni outing and Fundraiser will be held, and any Muskego High School Rugby Alumni are invited to play 7’s and 10’s (for the uninitiated, that reflects the size of the teams).  Registration starts at 12:30pm with matches beginning at 2pm. 

In addition, plenty of food and beverages will be available along with raffles for spectators.  Team 'mom' Gretchen Sindic said that the afternoon is a great opportunity for families to come out and learn more about the sport, which is picking up in popularity at the high school level.

The team has enjoyed success in its short history in Muskego, with another Badgerland Conference Championship under their belts this year, and state Championships in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Organizers promise a fun-filled day (don't be shy to ask questions, they say it's how we all learn), and they are eager to show the public one the of fastest growing sports in the US.
