Weekend Ahead Features Poppies, Peppermint and Pianos

With Halloween a faint memory, Muskego begins preparing for the holiday season with charity events and craft fairs. 

Check out these activities to kick-start your spirit of giving, holiday cheer and shopping.

VFW Poppy Sales: Members of Muskego's Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8171 and its Ladies Auxiliary will be distributing Buddy Poppies this weekend at Pick 'N Save, Piggly Wiggly and the Muskego Warehouse Beer & Liquor. Proceeds will be used to benefit disabled and needy veterans and the widows and orphans of deceased veterans.

Shop 'Til You Drop Fundraiser for Little Lambs Academy, Tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Peace Lutheran in New Berlin features craft and small, home-based business sales, pictures with Santa from noon to 1 p.m. and the option of a massage for weary shoppers.

PianoFondue Dueling Piano Show, Tomorrow, 7 p.m. at Muskego High School. Tickets, $15, are available at the door. Enjoy rockin’ appetizers and impromptu comedy at the PianoFondue all-request dueling piano show. Appropriate for all ages. Bring your pocket change and dollar bills to request your favorite tunes. Proceeds benefit the Muskego Food Pantry (just in time for Thanksgiving) and the school's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Distributive Education Club of America (DECA) clubs.

Peppermint Craft Fair, Sunday, 9:30 a.m. at Bay Lane Middle School features This annual holiday themed craft fair features a variety of exhibitors with many hand- or home-crafted items, plus a quilt raffle and bake sale.
