As a Member of the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin I receive great information from them frequently. Below is something to important not to share with all businesses in the area.
Be careful out there...
Information from the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau
SPECIAL ALERT: New phishing attack uses BBB name
The Wisconsin Better Business Bureau (BBB) has heard from several people during this first week in May who have received emails that claim to be from the BBB regarding a consumer complaint.
These emails contain an attachment that, if opened, will download a virus to the recipient's computer. The emails appear as if they are being sent by info@bbb.org. They are not! They are being sent by a scammer using the BBB's name. Legitimate BBB complaint emails will come from an email address with the suffix @[local BBB's name].bbb.org.
If you should receive one of these emails, please delete it immediately without attempting to open the attachment. If you should have any questions regarding the legitimacy of an email from the BBB, please call our Member Hotline: 414-847-6060 or 800-273-1024.
Thank you,
Susan Bach
