$2 'Booritos' at Chipotle on Halloween for Diners in Costume

Proceeds from sales of "booritos" will go to the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, which helps promote sustainable and healthful food sources.

It's like trick-or-treat for grown-ups! Chipotle is once again offering burritos, bowls, salads, or an order of tacos for only $2 for diners who come in costume for dinner on Wednesday.

Proceeds from the traditional Boorito event will once again help support the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, which promotes sustainable and healthful food sources. The foundation also works to raise awareness of food issues.

The Boorito runs from 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesday.

“We have always believed that good food should be affordable and accessible to everyone, and our annual Boorito fundraiser is a great opportunity for customers to enjoy a $2 burrito while supporting a great cause,” said Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO of Chipotle. “By using this program as a fund-raiser, we have already raised $2 million to support farmers and organizations that make sustainable and humanely raised food possible, and we’ll add to that total this year. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween by doing something good.”

This year, customers also have the chance to enter the Chipotle Costume Contest for a chance to win $2,500 and other prizes. Go to  chipotle.com/boorito for more information.

And lucky us, there's a Chipotle just down Janesville Road in Hales Corners, in front of Pick n Save.
