Kohl's 'Blushes' Again in Support of Fight Against Breast Cancer

It's not your imagination, the Kohl's Department Store sign is pink once again in support of Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure.

The pink film has been placed over the Muskego Kohl’s Department Store to show support for the fight against breast cancer. Exterior store signs at 14 Milwaukee-area Kohl’s stores and Kohl’s corporate headquarters in Menomonee Falls are going pink in recognition of Kohl’s support of the Susan G. Komen Southeast Wisconsin Race for the Cure® on Sunday, September 23.

According to a release from the company, the signs will remain pink throughout the month of October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Additionally, Kohl’s associates are being encouraged to wear pink from Sept. 17 – Sept. 22, the week leading up to the Komen Southeast Wisconsin Race for the Cure, to show their support for the fight against breast cancer.

To help drive the message that “Every Step Counts” in the battle against breast cancer, Kohl’s is also posting oversized shoeprint graphics along Lincoln Memorial Drive on Milwaukee’s lakefront the week leading up to the race. In addition, Kohl’s is placing 12-foot-tall pink, shoeprint-shaped graphics on the exterior of its corporate headquarters building.
