Muskego Summer 2012 Festival Already Underway

Jammin on Janesville comes with two coordinators, a host of sponsorship options for businesses, and a lot of excitement for the 2nd annual event

The Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism met with a core group of members to lay out the marketing plans and get feedback on their direction for the 2012 Jammin on Janesville (JOJ) events.

Tina Weiss, executive director for the chamber, and Cassandra Wurster and Tammie Brings, co-coordinators of the event, which is planned for June 1, July 6 and August 3 (first Fridays), outlined various ways businesses can become involved as well as an expanded marketing plan. Last year, the chamber estimated they spent $38,000 in promotions for the first-ever event, and the estimate for this year will likely reach $50,000.

Brings explained they have had contact already with various broadcast media, and hope to incorporate some type of contest to build awareness of the event, and to drive residents from Muskego and neighboring communities to the website and the Facebook page set up for the event. To include kids, a coloring book and bingo game will also make the lead-up to the event even more fun.
