San Laurio Coffee House Chosen as Business of the Year

Always a local favorite in Muskego Patch polls, the small coffeehouse takes home the Business of the Year award from the Chamber of Commerce, for serving the community more than just a good cup 'o Joe.

Marie Sanborn, owner of San Laurio Coffee House, told the crowd assembled at the Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala that her mom always said she'd make a good hostess.

"And I get to make a career out of it, thanks to all of you," she said, accepting the chamber's award for Business of the Year. The shop took home the honors among a field of nominees including Animal Doctor, Callen Construction, Glenda Holm CPA, Domino's, Lakepoint Church, McKinley Awards, Thompson Dental, Tudor Oaks and Young's Auto.

The business was recognized for its service to events like Relay for Life, Jammin' on Janesville, Muskego Country Christmas, St. Leonard's Turkey Trot and others.
