Wet Weather Hampers Basse's Country Delight

The market is closed after rains delayed spring planting.

The heavy rains throughout Wisconsin have caused major issues for farmers, who were forced to delay spring planting due to the wet conditions.

Basse's Country Delight, as a result, is closed until its "homegrown sweet corn is ripe," as the sign out in front proclaims.

When will that be? Probably not until the last few days of July, Dan Basse said in an e-mail to Muskego Patch.

Basse's Country Delight, S70 W16050 Janesville Road, has served Muskego since 1937, offering produce, sweet corn, pumpkins, gourds and more.
