Brookfield Fishing Class Dives In at Fox Brook Park

The humid weather that had rolled into Southeastern, Wisconsin this past week didn't deter the Brookfield Fishing Class from catching multiple panfish this past week at Fox Brook Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin with HookedUp101 Fishing Academy.

To beat the heat, several anglers even took turns wading up to their knees, into the cool waters of the lake up on our fishing days to target fish they could visually see around the weedbeds.

Not only did the class overcome the steamy outdoor classroom conditions, but the mosquitos and a broken leg suffered by Thomas the day before the class began, were still not enough to keep these enthusiastic fishermen from catching numbers of fish this week!

I wasn't sure if it was the warmer than average temperatures, but the kids certainly wanted to know a thing or two about ice fishing as well, as we often traded fishing stories to begin each class.  You know guys...we might just have to look into offering some ice fishing instruction through the ice at Fox Brook this winter!

Speaking of trading, as the boys acquired tackle for their new Flambeau Tackle boxes, the class developed a trading ritual at the end of class each day, which made for some creative bartering skills  :-D  I think everyone came out ahead!

I was most impressed by the teamwork this class showed throughout all fishing activities this week.  Guys helping out each other while they managed a slight tangle, making plenty of room for each other on the shoreline, watching Henry help his older brother, Thomas, get to and from his fishing spots comfortably to enable him to hook up as well!

Thanks again for a great week Brookfield anglers:  Ryan, Thomas, Henry, Jace, Leif, River, Parker, Andrew, Grant, Dietrich, Harrison, and Max.

I enjoyed meeting and fishing with each one of you!  The laughs and mid-summer memories will last for quite awhile.  The 'Tackle Trading Post' at the end of a few classes was epic!  You each made the Fox Brook Park class very special!  Have a great rest of the summer!
