Stoplights on Janesville Installed

Adding lights to the intersection of Janesville and Bay Lane Drive/Glen Cove Road, the county takes another step toward completing street work.

Almost overnight, the structures that will provide permanent stoplights along Janesville Road have been erected.

Crews began work Monday and were nearly finished on Tuesday, with the new lights still covered until power can be provided to them. Along with replacing the lights at the intersections of Martin Drive and Bay Lane/Glen Cove Road, new lights are being added at Parkland Drive.

Also noteworthy is the new 'blue look' to street signage. Each light structure will feature the cross street designation based on the redesign approved by the city last year. At some point additional wayfinding signage will be placed on the poles as well.
