Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Parts of Southeastern Wisconsin
It won't look like much, but snow is expected to fall throughout Friday and into Saturday, leaving some areas with as much as 5 inches. How much will Muskego get?
Southeastern Wisconsin will see what the National Weather Service calls a "prolonged period of snow" on Friday, tapering off early on Saturday, putting the area's northern half under a Winter Weather Advisory until 3 a.m. Saturday.
Ozaukee, Washington and Fond du Lac counties are expected to see the most snowfall, with 2 - 4 inches forecast, while most others will pick up about 1 - 2 inches, including Muskego. A concern over lake effect snow had increased the totals along the lakeshore, but that threat has diminished.
While not a full-frontal snow assault, the duration of the storm will make roads slick for much of the day, so exercise caution when driving, including keeping your headlights on and allowing for greater following distances with the vehicles in front of you.
