The color of fall is mostly due to leaf change and the flowers of asters and goldenrods. These members of the most highly evolved plant family show amazing adaptations for survival. Learn what these are and how to recognize the showy and common species. Get a jump start on botanical skills for the coming spring trainings on flower identification for the purpose of citizen science recordkeeping of blooming dates for our native wildflowers.
