Something for Everyone - Accessible Wisconsin

What does accessibility mean to you? For many people accessibility means freedom—the freedom to enjoy everything, just like everyone else.

For me, accessibility also means independence to enjoy life as independently as possible, freedom from the physical challenges that try to hold me back and hope that there will be a better tomorrow for us all.

Over 16 years ago, I was in a tragic car accident that turned my once independent life into a life surrounded by physical, architectural and attitudinal barriers. My love for the outdoors and the recreational activities I enjoyed prior to such as, kayaking, waterskiing and hiking became something out of reach and nearly impossible at the time. Today, my life is fulfilled with all those activities and more!
