Faster than a locomotive....Able to leap a building in single bound...it is a bird...a plane.....It is the Boy Scout Troop 141 of Muskego. All boys and supportive parents performing like little Supermen to get the job done. No tights or capes needed here but strength to face any and all jobs. No job was deemed too tough and/or refused by these boyscouts. The dedication these troops provided and the collaborative and caring team they are is amazing. Armed with shovels, pitchforks and rakes along with their own muscle power and lots of good-will spirit, the boy scouts came with great attitudes and persistence to help Acres of Hope and Aspirations. The evening was truly blessed with glorious sunshine, motivated workers and "proud as peacocks" moments of success for a job well done.
The Gardens of Hope located at the rehab farm who assist individuals and families affected by brain injury has some of the Creatures of Rehab free-roam on the grounds. Since this is the natural habitat and home for these animals, they often leave a yard that needs constant clean-up between shedding of fur and feathers, animal waste, etc. The Boy Scout Troop 141 stepped up to the plate and donated some hours of yard clean-up to Acres of Hope and Aspirations. The boys scouts were inspired to give back varying in ages and body size but everybody pulled their share of job tasks. One of the returning boy scout troop was attending college but wanted to be involved. Another mother came to help whose son was previously in this boy scout troop but was now grown up and in the military. Like the rest of the boy scouts, she indicated she felt compelled to assist and give back to animals and people who need it.
All of the Creatures of Rehab, the rehab staff and the patients from Acres of Hope and Aspirations offer their sincerest gratitude to the wonderful Boy Scout Troop 141 of Muskego, their leaders and their dedicated parents. We hope you remain inspired to be involved in your community as you continue your educational goals and endeavors during your school years and beyond. We are as "Proud as Peacocks" of all involved in Boy Scout Troop 141 of Muskego.
