5 Hours of Freedom: Muskego Woman Back in Jail After Heroin Overdose

Ayla Henry was released from the Waukesha County Jail Sunday morning, only to find herself back in jail a few hours later.

Hours after a Muskego woman was released from jail on a burglary charge, she overdosed on heroin at her mother’s apartment, according to a criminal complaint.

Ayla G. Henry, 25, was charged Monday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with bail jumping and disorderly conduct. She remains jailed in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Henry was picked up from the Waukesha County Jail at 7:30 a.m. Sunday by her mother, the complaint states. The mother left the home at 9:45 a.m. and returned home at 11:30 a.m. to find Henry vomiting and another man passed on a bed.

The man left the home after waking up and Henry’s mom contacted police. Henry was under the influence of narcotics and she admitted to injecting $20 worth of heroin, according to the complaint. She told police she had a reduced tolerance to the drug because she had been incarcerated.
