Duo Facing Charges for Theft of $1800 in DVDs from Walmart

Police reports say the pair stuffed backpacks with movies and tossed them over garden center gates over a period of a couple days.

Muskego Police were investigating a shoplifting call at Walmart only to find the suspects involved had been stealing from the store on an earlier occasion, according to reports.

The suspects were arrested on Sept. 3 after officers reviewed video from the loss prevention manager at Walmart from the day prior. Upon arresting the pair, a 20-year-old woman and 25-year-old man from Milwaukee, the woman stated that they had done this before.

Police reviewed further video from August 30, and it revealed that the couple used backpacks in their carts to place nearly at least two dozen DVDs in them. According to the report, one of the suspects would then walk to the gated garden center on the north side of the store to pass the stolen items to the other, waiting in a vehicle, by throwing the backpack over the gate.
