Homeowner's Tip Leads to Arrests in Car Burglaries

The lesson from vehicle thefts is to lock your cars, and lately, to check to see if anything is missing from them, as thieves have been active in the past week.

Muskego Police ended up with a lot of recovered items from a reported car burglary that likely belong to residents in the area, and could be linking more car break-ins to the same suspects.

At around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, a resident in the S7200 block of Meadow Court called police to report seeing three subjects looking in his vehicle.

Although the subjects fled the area before police could reach the home, they eventually captured two 17-year-old and a 16-year-old boys, all from Muskego. The boys were charged with theft, prowling, and resisting and obstructing an officer. Police report the 16-year-old was also charged with a curfew violation.
