Police Get a Jump on 'Booze and Belts'

The past week featured an inordinate number of drunk driving arrests, showing that you don't need a law enforcement initiative to get pulled over.

Muskego Police were busy in the past week nabbing motorists for drunk and drugged driving. This comes one week prior to the 'Booze and Belts' initiative which is a statewide effort to crackdown on drunk driving and seltbelt use from Dec. 7 to 16.

Here are some folks who may be on Santa's 'naughty' list:

Friday, Nov. 30 – Four 16 year old girls from South Milwaukee and St. Francis were cited for trespassing on Mystic Dr.

Saturday, Dec. 1 –

  • A traffic stop in the W13300 block of St Andrews Drive led to the arrest of an 18 year old Wind Lake man for underage drinking. 
  • A 22 year old Muskego man was arrested for drunk driving in the S7200 block of Crowbar Road. 
  • A resident in the W12400 block of Emerson Drive reported that his landscaping was vandalized. 
  • A 27 year old Waterford man reported being assaulted at Muskego Lakes Country Club the night before by a subject known to him. 
  • A resident in the W20500 block of Parker Dr. reported the theft of a credit card. 

Sunday, Dec. 2 –

  • A 45 year old Greendale man was arrested on Woods Road at Green Street for 4th offense drunk driving, operating after revocation, and violation of ignition interlock. 
  • A 38 year old Oak Creek woman was arrested on Janesville Rd at Martin Dr. for 2nd offense drunk driving, operating after revocation, and violation of ignition interlock. 
  • A 22 year old Waukesha man was arrested on Racine Avenue at Apollo Drive for a warrant through Wisconsin Department of Correction, a probation violation, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Tuesday, Dec. 4 –

  • A 19 year old Muskego man was arrested on North Cape Dr. at Schaefer Drive for first offense drunk driving. 
  • A 34 year old Muskego man who overdosed was revived by Tess Corners Fire Department rescue personnel. He faces charges for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. 
  • A traffic Stop on North Cape Drive at Loomis Road led to the arrest of a 23 year old Waterford man for operating after suspension, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 

Wednesday, Dec. 5 – A resident in the W19400 block of Hillview Drive came to the police department to report a theft from his vehicle. 

Thursday, Dec. 6 –

  • A 47 year old Muskego man was arrested in the S8400 block of Racine Avenue for 4th offense drunk driving. 
  • Pick N Save reported having a 17 year old Muskego man in custody for shoplifting. 

Friday, Dec. 7 – Muskego Public Works Department reported someone stole the street signs on the corner of Lake Drive and Schubring Drive, and in the process damaged the lawn and the sign post.
