Man Pleads Not Guilty To Sex With Teen He Met on Phone Line

Chad E. Stark, 37, is accused of having sexual contact with a 16-year-old girl at an abandoned business in Muskego.

A 37-year-old Cudahy man pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges that he had sex with a 16-year-old girl he met over “Nightline,” an adult chat phone line.

Chad E. Stark was charged June 6 with child enticement-exposing a sex organ and sex with a child age 16 or older. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years and nine months in prison and $110,000 in fines.

The 16-year-old girl told investigators she started texting Stark, who she only knew as “Chad” after they met on the phone line May 18. She told the man she was 16, but they still sent messages back and forth. At least one message was sexually explicit and Stark sent messages from three different phone numbers, according to a search warrant affidavit filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

The girl biked to McDonald’s on Racine Avenue in Muskego to meet with Stark. He drove her to Veteran’s Park and then to the abandoned parking lot where Lights, a teen club, used to operate on Tans Drive. The two had unprotected sex in Stark’s vehicle in the parking lot, according to the search warrant affidavit.

Stark was identified as the suspect after a Waukesha police detective recognized him in security footage from McDonald’s, according to the search warrant.
