'Mistake' Leads to Serious Sex Assault Charges for Muskego Man

Frank Pilarski was babysitting a 4-year-old girl on behalf of his wife, the normal babysitter.

A Muskego man was charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13 Monday in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Frank Pilarski, 71, was charged with a Class B Felony that carries a maximum penalty of 60 years.

According to a criminal complaint, a woman from Waterford contacted a Racine County Sheriff’s Department investigator after her 4-year-old daughter described inappropriate contact with Pilarski. The girl repeated the description for the investigator.

Pilarski had been babysitting the child since March because his wife, who had been the child’s babysitter for four years, was out of state caring for her daughter. According to the complaint, Frank Pilarski consented to providing more details when contacted by an investigator, and later said “I made a mistake” and that he was “way older than old enough to know better.”

Pilarski is in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.
