Muskego Businesses See a Return of Unwelcome Customers

Two men who are suspected of 'casing' businesses to steal have returned, using the same M.O.

about George Cain and George Spears, who were suspected of stealing from area businesses and were seen again at a local dance studio acting suspiciously.

According to Lt. Dave Constantineau, Cain and Spears "liked to go into businesses and search through them for anything they could steal. If they were confronted, they claimed they were there to get a job application, information on services, etc. They were almost always found in areas of a business not open to the public."

Both men were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing last year for those events, and police hoped they would never see them again.

However, on Tuesday, Jan. 24, on Janesville Road reported two subjects matching Cain and Spears’ descriptions were in the office areas of their business. Cain and Spears were subsequently identified as the suspects, and the investigation is continuing.

Police are asking if these subjects were in your business to let them know by calling 262-679-4130.

They were also seen at a dance studio going through the offices last year. They said they were interested in joining when they were found by a custodian, after hours. They are also not from Muskego, and were previously arrested. The activity is suspicious, not racially biased.

It's not racist to say we have very little cultural diversity here in Muskego. It's just a fact. And it's not racist to say that it's odd to see people with records hanging around businesses without buying something.

While I appreciate this update on crime in Muskego, I would appreciate some information regarding the armed robbery which allegedly happened last week at a business in northern Muskego. (And I neither know nor care what color or ethnicity the 2 robbers were--I just want them caught and punished). This is also a significant threat Muskego residents and businesses need to be alerted to.

Haven't heard about that one...I can look into it. What does 'allegedly happened' mean? It did or it didn't? Don't know why that would not have made the report. You will note we didn't get into the ethnicity, as it's about the behavior. Not too many middle aged men or women taking tap at local dance studios. We posted the photos because it's helpful to know what they look like, even if they're blue.

"Allegedly" means that I only have second-hand information and do not know for a fact that it occured (hence asking for information). The story I heard was that a business on the Muskego/ New Berlin boundary was hit by two armed robbers late last week. I do not want to repeat a rumour, but this is very alarming if accurate. (If true, the Muskego Police Department should be able to provide details.)

It happened at the gas station on Racine and College. They caught the 3 guys within an hour in Waukesha

That was the Citgo station on College in New Berlin.... http://www.facebook.com/pages/New-Berlin-Police-Department/112811588818971; if this is the incident, the men were apprehended in Waukesha. MPD wouldn't have details unless they were called for mutual aid.
