Muskego High School Student Caught With Pill, White Powder

Wind Lake teen has Percocet with him while acting out in class.

A Muskego High School student is facing drug charges after he was caught carrying a prescription pill at the school and acting out in class.

Shawn R. Ecklund, 18, of Wind Lake, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of possession of an illegally obtained prescription drug. If convicted, he faces up to six months in prison and $500 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Feb. 22, police were called to the school after Ecklund began to act out in class and faculty suspected him of taking drugs. Police searched Ecklund and found half a pill and some white power even though Ecklund denied taking anything.

The pill was later identified as Percocet and the powder was tested for heroin and cocaine, which came back inconclusive.

He will make his initial appearance in court June 18.
