Muskego Man Arrested for Shoplifting After He Tries to Return Item He Stole

Muskego Police arrest man on his return trip to Pick n Save

File this one under 'dumb criminals:'

Police responded to a report from the front end manager at Pick N Save of a shoplifter who took a blue tooth headset device while purchasing batteries on Wednesday October 19.

While policies prevent workers to detain shoplifting suspects, the store was going to provide Muskego Police with video of the man, who had used the self checkout and left the store, pocketing the device.

However, about three hours later, police were again alerted that the man, 42, had returned to the store, and was attempting to get a refund on the device he had shoplifted earlier.

Store employees explained to the man that they could not issue a refund without a receipt, and police were able to apprehend the man, who then admitted he had taken the device.
