A 44-year-old Muskego woman is accused of her fourth drunk driving charge stemming from a traffic stop nearly two years ago.
Deana Marie Damico was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of fourth offense operating while intoxicated within five years and one count of operating a motor vehicle after revocation of her license. If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison and $12,500 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Feb. 7, 2011, a Cudahy police officer on patrol saw Damico speeding northbound on South Packard Avenue, then running a four-way stop at East Ramsey Avenue. The officer pulled her over in the 6000 block of Packard, where he smelled alcohol on Damico’s breath.
Damico failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of 0.18, which is more than twice the legal limit to drive in Wisconsin.
Damico was previously convicted of OWI in 1997 and 2010. She’s currently out of custody while awaiting trial.
