A Brown Deer man already charged over a spending spree with a Sussex woman's credit cards picked up additional charges of narcotics possession and bail jumping in Waukesha County Court last week for a separate incident almost one year ago.
According to the criminal complaint:
Muskego Police were initially called to the home of a Muskego family on March 23, 2012, after they reported their daughter took their vehicle without permission. After she returned to their home without the vehicle, she told police Daveto Wise, 18, had taken the vehicle.
Police had located him on March 25, and Wise told them he was unaware of the vehicle's whereabouts. He was arrested on March 31 after he was found with the stolen vehicle, according to reports. During a search, police also found three hydrocodone pills in his pocket.
Muskego Police also found that Wise was in violation of his bail conditions from a Milwaukee County case, where he was charged with multiple counts of armed robbery and theft. (His sentence hearing in that case is March 12. He pleaded guilty to the theft there and had two counts of armed robbery dismissed in exchange.)
Wise has also been charged with multiple counts of theft after he was accused of going on a shopping spree at area malls with a Sussex resident’s credit card in June of 2012. He was charged March 7 in Waukesha County Court with seven counts of misappropriating identity information to obtain money in that case. If convicted, he faces up to 21 years in prison.
Charges in the Muskego case could also bring a maximum penalty of $10,000 in fines, three and a half years in prison or both.
