A "strong odor of intoxicants was noted from inside the vehicle," the report stated, and the man was observed to have "glassy bloodshot eyes and admitted to having a couple of drinks."
However, the man told police he wasn't the instigator of the incident, and had intended to call 911 but couldn't get the phone out of his pocket.
A search of the man's pockets also revealed a pocket knife, but also 10 rounds ammunition. Although the man repeated denied having a firearm, but a loaded handgun was found in his boot. As he had no concealed carry permit, he was arrested immediately.
Police reported he had a blood alcohol level of 0.17, or about twice the legal limit. He faces charges of driving while intoxicated, carrying a concealed weapon, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct in Waukesha County Circuit Court.
