Racine County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 900 block of West Main Street after Diels passed out and wasn’t breathing. Sullivan said Diels had just injected heroin in his car, then showed a deputy his shoe, which had a secret compartment containing morphine.

Sullivan said he picked up Diels and Gauthier and they went to get heroin, then went to Uncle Harry’s Ice Cream. They then went to find a place to shoot up, but Diels passed out 15 seconds after injecting himself with heroin.
