Two Injured in Car vs. Motorcycle Crash; Driver Arrested
Police say a motorcycle struck a car making a U-turn on Woods Road. The motorcycle operator was arrested on three charges.
A motorcycle hit a car making a U-turn Saturday night on Woods Road, injuring both occupants of the motorcycle and leading to the arrest of the motorcycle driver.
The accident happened just after 8 p.m. after a westbound vehicle missed the turn to the parking lot of Sauced Sports Bar & Pizzeria, S78 W16355 Woods Road, police Lt. David Constantineau said.
The vehicle pulled over and made a U-turn in front of the motorcycle, which was traveling westbound behind him. The motorcycle struck the driver's side of the car, Constantineau said.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 52-year-old New Berlin man, suffered broken ribs. His passenger, a 56-year-old Greenfield woman, broke her clavicle. They were both taken to Froedtert Hospital.
The 52-year-old was arrested for second offense-drunken driving, injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle and being armed with a firearm while intoxicated, Constantineau said.
