Four candidates have stepped forward for the 4th District Aldermanic seat on the Common Council to serve out the term of Keith Werner, who resigned about a month ago.
Werner was facing a recall based in large part on his 'yes' vote for a lake park purchase earlier this year. The district includes a large portion of lake residents, who were vocal in their opposition to the purchase of land on the lake by the city for future use as a public park.
The following candidates will appear before the Common Council, which will decide by paper ballot after an interview process who will fill the remaining term of 4th District Alderman. The term expires April of 2013.
Reno Berg - A resident of Muskego since 1975, and in the 4th District since 1986; partner with R & W Realty company
Blaise DiPronio - A semi-retired attorney who has run his own law firm in Milwaukee since 1984; past member of Mayor Johnson's task force on economic development
Rob Glazier - presently serving as president of the Community Development Authority for the city; facilities study team for Muskego-Norway School District; 15 year Muskego resident; currently employed as a manager of health care planning and research at Walgreens
Nancy Salentine - formerly served for 12 years as 4th District Alderman (until 2007) and on various city committees; Muskego resident for 62 years; retired
