How Much Will Stamp Prices Increase, and When?

Cost of stamps will go up a penny later this month, while the USPS is also rolling out a new stamp for international letters.

Chances are you've already lost track of what a postage stamp costs, but regardless, the cost of stamps is going up again later this month.

Effective Jan. 27, stamps for first-class letters will go up a penny to 46 cents. Postcards also will see a one-cent increase, to 33 cents.

In addition, the U.S. Postal Service is rolling out a new "Global Forever Stamp," which allows customers to mail letters internationally for one set price of $1.10.

Meanwhile, new pricing for Priority Mail Flat Rate products include:

  • Small box — $5.80
  • Medium box — $12.35
  • Large box — $16.85
  • Large APO/FPO box — $14.85
  • Regular envelope — $5.60
  • Legal envelope — $5.75
  • Padded envelope — $5.95

The Muskego post office is at the corner of Parkland Drive and Janesville Road.

I still mail. I might use about eight stamps every month.
