Katy Perry to Campaign with Barack Obama in Milwaukee

Here's how to get tickets to see pop singer perform during campaign event with the president on Saturday.

President Barack Obama is teaming up with pop singer Katy Perry at a campaign stop on Saturday in Milwaukee, his campaign announced late Wednesday.

The president will deliver remarks at what is being described as a "grassroots event" at the Delta Convention Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Perry, a multi-platinum artist, will perform at the event, the campaign said. There's no word yet, however, on whether Perry will wear the "ballot dress" that she donned at an Obama rally in Las Vegas last week.

The event is free and open to the public, but anyone who wishes to attend must RSVP online at Obama's campaign web site.

The lose of manufacturing jobs had slowed, despite B.O.'s best efforts. The question is who will best get them moving again. The answer is NOT B.O!
It's great that the Dow Jones is up, but doesn't that just mean the rich are getting richer? I thought you were against that morn.

Obama's desperate for the young voters who are abandoning him in droves. He wont have half the young voters this year as he did with his "hope and change" campaign. Instead of providing the youth with a plan, he gives them Katy Perry. Smart, but desperate.

As long as they do as the dress says, all is well...

Help, I'm turning into Jesse Jackson......

Consumer confidence surged because Mr. Obama is getting closer to the door.
Taoist Crocodile November 1, 2012 at 07:37 pm
I love irony! Like the irony of Kid Rock stumping for a party that never met a "war on drugs" that they wouldn't shower money on. I posted a picture of him smoking a big fat blunt, just to help illustrate the irony.
Taoist Crocodile November 1, 2012 at 07:38 pm
Henneypecker, you've never really made any connections at all.
The point, which is a little too slippery for you, I guess, is that anyone huffing and puffing about Katy Perry's endorsement being such a telling and/or terrible thing doesn't have a leg to stand on..
FreeThought Troy November 1, 2012 at 07:55 pm
Obama is part of the 1% crowd. He doesn't hate them. He believes they may need to at least play on the same field as the rest of us.
Considering Romney's 47% Speech, I wouldn't really claim Romney doesn't promote class warefare. Considering Romney's 3rd move at Bain Capital - the first move was collecting all the consulting fees and the second was giving executive bonuses - was outsourcing all the American jobs out of the country, I wouldn't make the bold claim he doesn't partake in class warfare. Class Warefare was already declared years ago. Stop hating on Katy Perry.

FTTroy: We agree about the sky falling, I worry whatever happends will come too late.
While China is building interstates and modern infrastructure, USA is outdated and too broke to upgrade. Any product we make here will be stuck in gridlock on our crappy freeways, China will have cross country smooth sailing on new interstates, which will make them more efficient and harder to compete with. As if pennies per hour wasn't enough.

Romney is still spot on with the 47% comment looking at the polls. Spot on. Man is brilliant no wonder he was smart enough to make millions and human enough to pass on billions.

Does perry write a check to the IRS for 99% of her wealth? Nope. Hypocrite just like a good lefty lives.

(John Gurzinski/Getty Images) Last night, Paul Ryan traded the campaign trail for a trick-or-treat route, celebrating Halloween with his three children, wife, sister-in-law, niece and invited members of the press in his hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin. It was a routine affair with just one exception – his daughter’s costume. Ten-year-old Liza dressed as Katy Perry, who recently performed at an Obama campaign event. ...................

That is funny.
But good on Paul Ryan for letting that one go. I have heard what a good father he is ( I did see signs of that after the VP Debate) and I thought it was super cool he took the day off to take his kids trick/treating. Good to see he can put press nonscence aside & let his daughter dress how she wanted.
AWD November 2, 2012 at 02:27 pm
Katy Perry has the best rack in all of Pop music.
CowDung November 2, 2012 at 02:28 pm
It seems pretty low to focus on the candidates' children and try to make an issue out of their costume selections.
FreeThought Troy November 2, 2012 at 02:29 pm
Once again - AWD
All Class.
FreeThought Troy November 2, 2012 at 02:30 pm
It's a cute story, but I think at this point, the press is grasping for anything.
Yeah - it's lame and has nothing to do with anything. I just think it's cool Ryan has a good attitude about it.
Bob McBride November 2, 2012 at 02:44 pm
Just the other day (prior to the Barack and Katy concert being announced) in a thread regarding costumes for kids, some lefty pointed out an article here on Patch regarding Ryan's daughter and this costume and suggested it was an indication he was a lousy parent.
FreeThought Troy November 2, 2012 at 02:47 pm
I don't think there are many here who would argue there are idiots on the left, too.
Lyle Ruble November 2, 2012 at 02:48 pm
@AWD...You're disgusting and misogynistic.
Bob McBride November 2, 2012 at 02:51 pm
I would, but only because I don't think that's what you meant to say.
Bob McBride November 2, 2012 at 02:56 pm
Lyle, once again, you need to "bone up" on the pop culture scene a bit.
AWD while stating a personal preference in terms of his use of the word "best", certainly isn't noticing something Katy Perry hasn't herself spent a lot of time displaying prominently in many of her videos and media appearances.
Greg November 2, 2012 at 03:00 pm
Is a hanging chad a wardrobe malfunction?
AWD November 2, 2012 at 05:38 pm
I don't know what misogynistic means. But I know a Communist when I see one.
FreeThought Troy November 2, 2012 at 05:45 pm
Actually AWD - I don't think you know a Communist when you see one.
You have been calling Communist to anyone who disagrees with you. Not everyone who is a Non_SkinHead is a Communist. I don't think you could spot a Communist if they walked up to you and introduced themself.
Randy1949 November 2, 2012 at 05:50 pm
@AWD -- It doesn't surprise me that you don't know what 'misogynistic' means. You're misanthropic as well.
AWD November 3, 2012 at 12:01 am
@FreeThought Troy, I may have a receding hairline but please don't call me a skinhead, those dudes are nuts. I'm just a racially aware citizen trying to enlighten the masses about Obama's anti-White race policies. I mean no harm to anyone only fairness. Right now we have an American President that hates white people and those of us that see it are ringing the alarm bell for all to hear. Mr. President, you are a racist. Shame on you.
