New Collision Repair Business Approved by Plan Commission

Morgan's Collision Repair will break ground across from new Frey Auto along Muskego's south side; temporary garden sales allowed for Ace Hardware.

Seen as a great complement to a planned new car dealership on Loomis Road, Morgan's Collision Repair received the green light from the Muskego Plan Commission Tuesday night to build a new auto repair facility.

The business will feature a 5,660 square foot building that will house a paint booth, wash bay and areas for estimating and repair on a nearly 2.5 acre parcel. The business will face the across Highway 36, which many on the commission saw as a good complement to that business.

Nathan Laurent, project manager with Keller Architects, which is constructing the building, said they hoped to get started with building by June 2012, and complete it by the end of September. Keller is also in charge of Frey's construction plan, which Laurent said will have a similar schedule.

The proposal goes to the Muskego Common Council for final approval on April 10.

The commission also approved a plan by to add outside sales of plants and landscaping materials on a seasonal basis. The plan includes two temporary greenhouses run by Holtz Garden Centers, and will be run from April 15 to July 15.

Awesome...if there is one thing Muskego needs it is more auto related businesses.

Actually, the location is ideal, and there are only 2 others that will actually do auto body/collision repair. Sorry to disappoint you.

The location is ideal. Nate, you should take a ride down to the south end (Hwy 36)of Muskego and check out the area. Muskego doesn't begin and end on Janesville Road! We as residents should be commending both business owners- Ron Graham and JJ Frey for building there and making an investment in the City of Muskego and its residents. We should be welcoming new businesses and those business owners who are willing to invest and contribute to the economic development and growth of our city. We wish Frey Automotive continued success in their new building and wish Morgan's Collision Center success as well! Congratulations to both of you!

Why are you two so touchy? I said it was awesome. Jetz and car wash, Citgo and car wash, Mobil, Express Car Wash, Autozone, Napa, O'Reilly Auto parts, Bumper to Bumper, Firestone, Valvoline, Richlonns, Collision repair place by Citgo, Collision repair place on Pioneer, vacant Shell and BP, Kwik Trip...we need more...just sayin.

Is it just me or does Nate D. appear to have an incredible grasp of and gift in highlighting the negative and problems with our community, perceived or real, but never provides any solutions...Nate D. maybe that is were the problems truly lie...just sayin.

Shell and BP are going to be razed due to Janesville Road construction. The only 2 body shops in the city are in the business park, and Youngs. I don't know how 'active' Muskego Auto Body on Pioneer is. If you have a dent, you'll be out of luck taking it to Richlonns, Valvoline, etc. It's like going into a McDonald's and expecting a pizza.
