Chamber Offers $1000 Scholarship

Annual scholarship will be offered to one area student headed for college or technical school after high school.

 

Parents of college-bound students will appreciate any opportunity to soften the blow of tuition, which makes this announcement timely and welcome.

The Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism is now accepting applications for its Youth Volunteer Scholarship. The award of $1000 is given to one area student, and all entries must be post marked by January 4, 2013.

Students must be current high school seniors and have planned to attend a four-year college or technical school. In addition, they will be asked to provide information on extra curricular and community involvement, and write an essay of 150 words minimum expressing their educational objectives, choice of career, and plans for reaching their goal. 

The scholarship will be presented at the Chamber's Awards Banquet & Silent Auction on March 14th, 2013 at Bush Gardens.  This event is open to the public.  For more information about the banquet and silent auction.
