Muskego-Norway Names New Principal for MHS

Ryan Oertel has been a principal at Lake Denoon Middle School and will fill the position at the helm of Muskego High School.

Promotion from within seems to be the preference at Muskego-Norway School District as Ryan Oertel, the current principal at Lake Denoon Middle School was named as the new principal at Muskego High School Monday night at the district board meeting.

Oertel will replace principal Dr. Dennis Bussen, who will be stepping into the role of Assistant Superintendent of Muskego Schools. He replaces Dr. Kelly Thompson, who was promoted to school superintendent after Dr. Joe Schroeder announced his departure earlier this year.

Oertel told the board that he was "humbled by the opportunity and excited to serve. I am also excited by the momentum I see in the district and where we are moving to make students college and career-ready."
