Muskego Student Named National Merit Semifinalist

Muskego High School senior Anne Mark is one of 16,000 students—selected from a pool of 1.5 million students—to make the cut.

A Muskego High School senior has been named a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist.

Anne Mark is one of 16,000 students across the country competing for about 8,000 National Merit Scholarships worth $35 million, according to a Muskego High School news release.

Mark was selected out of about 1.5 million high school students who entered the 2014 scholarship program by taking a qualifying test.

A semifinalist must have an outstanding academic record, be recommended by a high school official, write an essay and earn SAT scores that confirm their score on the qualifying test, according to the news release.
