Muskego Teachers Get Pay Bump

The board settled two contracts, both with average increases of more than 2 percent.

The Muskego-Norway School Board on Monday approved two salary increases for teachers.

The board approved an average increase of 2.5 percent for the 2012-13 school year, as well as a 2.07 percent average increase for 2013-14.

State law limits teachers' pay increases to the consumer price index. Muskego teachers' raises were below the CPI for the 2012-13 contract and at the CPI for 2013-14, Superintendent Kelly Thompson said.

The board approved the salaries unanimously following a closed-session meeting.
