Muskego-Norway School Board Member Mike Serdynski Resigns

The School Board is looking to fill the vacancy by August, and an interview process will take place in August.

One Muskego-Norway School Board member has resigned, opening a vacancy that the district hopes to fill next month.

Board member Mike Serdynski announced his resignation at Monday's School Board meeting. Board President James Schaefer said Serdynski resigned for personal reasons, as his home is for sale and he may be moving out of the district.

Serdynski was not immediately available for comment.

"Mike has always been a very prepared, conscientious board member, and he wanted to make sure we had someone else in place," Schaefer said.

Per district policy, the board will appoint a replacement to serve until the April 2014 local elections.

Those interested in serving can send a letter of intent to Darlene Birdeau, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, c/o the Educational Services Center S87 W18763 Woods Road, Muskego, 53150, or by email at darlene.birdeau@muskegonroway.org.
