Warrior Skiiers Take First at Little Swiss

Girls sweep competition, besting the field by 40 seconds; boys also ski to first with a nine second lead at Little Switzerland.

On Jan. 24  the Muskego High School ski team raced against University School, Brookfield Central and Waukesha at a meet on the slopes of Little Switzerland.

The Muskego Girls swept the competition, placing first overall by over 40 seconds, and taking the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place individual medals, and the top 4 fastest times of all the Varsity girls racing.

Senior Julie Petak took home the 1st place medal, senior Sammy Llanas took 2nd, junior Georgi Llanas took 3rd, Elizabeth Bartoszewski took 4th place, and Isabelle Sviatoslavsky took 6th place.

The Muskego boys also placed first by 9 seconds, led by David Birkle in 4th place, Spencer Rotter in 5 place, Justin Fennig in 6th place, Connor Cleveland in 9th place, and Zeke Baker in 16th place.

The Warrior girls are currently in 7th place overall in the Classic 8 conference, and the boys are in 6th place overall.
