MHS Senior Athlete Collecting D1 Scholarships

Renee Bennett has had a busy summer, playing basketball and picking up scholarships from Division 1 Schools along the way.

(editor's note: thanks to parents like Margo, we are passing along this great accomplishment from a local athlete.)

Muskego High School's Renee Bennett was considered a key player on last year's Warriors squad that went 10-4 in the tough Southeast Conference before falling to Middleton in the sectional finals.

The 6-3 center was averaged just over 6 points per game on her way to Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition.

On the road currently with Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) team WI Playground Elite, and according to mom Margo "working her butt off," Bennett has also received the attention of three Division 1 schools. Even before she'll start school in fall as a senior, she has received full scholarships from   Eastern Illinois State, Ball State and Chicago State. She has also received an offer for a full ride from Mary University in North Dakota, which is a Division 2 school.
