Muskego Soccer Standout Named to National U18 Team

Andrija Novakovich is headed to northern Ireland next week after a strong performance in Japan.

Muskego's Andrija Novakovich is heading to northern Ireland next week as a member of the U.S. Under-18 national soccer team.

Wisconsin Soccer Central reports Novakovich scored in all three matches in his first stint with the Under-17 national team, as the squad won the Niigato Tournament in Japan.

Novakovich, a Marquette recruit, was the Gatorade Wisconsin Player of the Year with 41 goals and 13 assists for Muskego.

Top Drawer Soccer ranks him as the No. 1 player in the Midwest in his class, and the No. 5 midfielder nationally. Earlier this year another Muskego soccer standout, Luka Prpa, was in training camp with the U.S. Under-15 team.
