Quartullo Continues to Lead Wrestlers

Junior Austin Quartullo continues to dominate with a win in Pewaukee as wrestlers overall develop in competition.

The Muskego Warriors competed in Pewaukee this weekend at the Pirate invitational placing fourth overall. Junior Austin Quartullo continued to dominate as well, winning the 120-pound title Saturday at the eight-team meet, and seems poised for a solid state tournament series, according to JS Online.

Pewaukee won the team title with 198.5 points, followed by Ozaukee (159.5) and Oconomowoc (151).

Quartullo is ranked No. 1 in the state in Division 1 at 120 pounds, and defeated Ozaukee junior Cole Large by a 9-5 decision in the final, bringing his record to 33-1. His only loss has been a 2-1 setback to Ellsworth junior Jenz Lantz, a two-time Division 2 state champion, at the Bi-State Classic in December.
